Reflection Writing:
Some photographers that I've found and appreciated are David La Chapelle, Garry Winograd, and Susan Rosenberg Jones. All three I've taken a lot of interest in. I love the individuality all three have in their photos, especially David La Chapelle. He also really helped with assignments that had to do with color. I've definitely gotten better at incorporating elements and principles of photography into my work, which is ultimately going to improve my photos a lot. I've gained skills on how to give emphasis to things in the frame too. That's one of my favorite things to do because I find it pretty easy. I'm not sure I really perceive the world differently. I think that's a very big world/philosophy type of question and this photography class hasn't really expanded that part of my mind yet. Who knows though next semester might be completely different! I know a bit more about aperture, shutter speed, and those types of camera controls, but apart from that my knowledge on photography hasn't improved that much. As I said I've gotten better at noticing elements and principles of photography, but nothing really more than that. I'm really excited to use my own creative ideas in the class more. Ms. Windle said that there would be more freedom and room to wriggle around, so I'm pretty excited for that. This semester hasn't been a whole lot of that so it'll be fun. I also hope we get to go on more field trips and work in groups more because that's always fun. Anyways, good semester! Ended with a good grade and feeling good about the whole subject. Pretty pumped for next semester! Hope i get a good grade on the final!!...
